How Does BOTOX Work?
During your BOTOX consultation at Envision Estetique, Dr. Lear will perform a thorough examination of your skin and talk with you about which areas you want to address. Since BOTOX is provided during a quick, in-office service, your injections can usually be carried out in the same visit. The wrinkle relaxer will be injected into target areas around your forehead and upper face using a fine-gauge needle. The injection process typically takes only around 5 – 10 minutes and causes minimal discomfort, with most patients describing the sensation as a mild poke or pinch. After your visit, you can get right back to your normal routine. Patients commonly experience slight swelling, redness, and bruising around their injection sites shortly after receiving BOTOX injections, but these side effects should fade. Over the next few days, you should begin to see improvements in the appearance of facial lines.
BOTOX injections can provide results for up to four months. Dr. Lear will let you know how often you should undergo treatments as part of a personalized plan to help you achieve your desired goals.
